Everything You Need to Know About Concerts in the Park

As the sun sets over the scenic Downtown Huntsville, Big Spring Park comes alive with the sounds of music, laughter, and community. Every summer, the city hosts a beloved tradition: Concerts in the Park. This series of free, family-friendly concerts has become a staple in Huntsville's cultural calendar, drawing residents and visitors alike to enjoy an array of musical performances under the open sky.
A Melodic Summer Celebration
Concerts in the Park is more than just a music series; it’s a celebration of Huntsville's vibrant community and rich musical heritage. Organized by Arts Huntsville and the City of Huntsville’s Department of Parks & Recreation, this event brings together a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians, offering something for everyone. From rock and jazz to country and classical, the variety of genres ensures that each concert is a unique experience.
Mark Your Calendar
The concerts will take place every Monday evening from June through August, with each week featuring a new artist or band. The event kicks off at 6:30 PM in Big Spring Park and ends at 8:30 PM. The concert series is completely free to attend!

Tips for Attendees
1. Arrive Early: To get a good spot, consider arriving a bit early. This also gives you time to explore the park and grab dinner from a food truck or restaurant.
2. Bring Essentials: Sunscreen, bug spray, and plenty of water will help keep you comfortable throughout the evening.
3. Parking: On-street parking is free but limited around Big Spring Park. There are also several parking garages within walking distance of the park.
4. Respect the Park: Keep downtown beautiful by picking up after yourself and using the provided trash and recycling bins.

Take some time before or after the concert to check out the amazing local establishments around the park.
