Just west of Downtown Huntsville, the Merrimack District is one of the premier destinations for the performing arts and recreational sports in the region.
Anchoring the district is Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center. This historic venue has been beautifully renovated into a multi-purpose home for live music, special events, and a wide variety of performing arts. They host programs throughout the year striving to make Huntsville and Madison County the gold standard for inclusion.
Aside from the Performing Arts, Merrimack District is also widely known for their incredible sports complexes. The Merrimack Soccer Complex is home to 10 tournament-quality soccer fields. Milton Frank Stadium is a 12,000-seat multi-purpose stadium, currently used for Huntsville City Schools. The Huntsville Aquatics Center includes two Olympic size pools for competition use and the largest spectator seating capacity in the state with over 1,400 seats.
The district is also home to one of Huntsville's most unique parks – Brahan Spring Park with fields for almost every sport, plus sand volleyball courts and a highly-interactive splash pad.
