Downtown Huntsville, Inc. Presents a Week of Exciting Events

Downtown Huntsville, Inc. (DHI) is thrilled to present an exciting lineup of events this week, offering something for everyone to enjoy. From live music to local art, and food truck feasts to NASA celebrations, the Heart of Huntsville will be alive with activity, making this the perfect time to experience everything downtown has to offer.
805 After Five
This month’s installation of 805 After Five will happen on Thursday, August 15, from 5-8 PM at Butler Green Park. Attendees can enjoy a free concert by the talented Aaron Lee Tasjan, with an opening act by local favorite, Camping in Alaska. The evening will offer more than just music; with retail vendors, food trucks, yard games, and various activities and giveaways, there’s no better way to kick off the weekend!
Art Walk
The celebration continues on Friday, August 16, from 5-8 PM at Courthouse Square, with the Downtown Art Walk. Shoppers can explore over 50 local artisan vendors offering unique items such as handmade soaps, clothing, jewelry, and artwork. As visitors browse the goods, they can also enjoy free live music by Maclain Lawson and the DL3 trio.
Legacy of the Invisible
Also on Friday, August 16, at 6:30 PM, join NASA & Friends at the corner of Washington St. and Clinton Ave. for a special event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Chandra X-ray Observatory and introducing Huntsville’s newest art installation, "No Straight Lines" by Float. Attendees can meet NASA space experts from the Marshall Space Flight Center and check out various space-themed exhibits.
Food Truck Rally
Rounding out Friday night, the Food Truck Rally will take place on August 16, from 5-9 PM at Big Spring Park. With over 15 local food trucks serving up a diverse array of dishes, there's something for every palate. While indulging in your favorite eats, don’t miss Huntsville Parks and Recreation’s Light Up the Night event, featuring a live DJ, dancing, and an electrifying glow party.
