Holiday Shopping Guide in Downtown

The holidays are just around the corner! If you are looking for some places to shop, listed below are some holiday markets and unique retail spots around Downtown Huntsville. 

Jingle Bell Bash Market
Located at Stovehouse, this retail show offers an excellent opportunity to complete your shopping early and take advantage of exclusive deals. This event is the perfect opportunity to support local vendors and get in the holiday spirit! The market occurs from November 22-24, starting at 5 PM each day. 

Tinsel Trail Market
Add the Tinsel Trail Market to your Black Friday shopping plans! Friday, November 29, marks the opening day of Tinsel Trail. Come out and walk the trail, admire the decorated trees, and shop from over 50 local vendors selling holiday goodies. There will be food truck vendors and free entertainment for all ages. This free event is at Big Spring Park from 2-8 PM. 

NEACA Christmas Craft Show
Featuring over 100 crafters with items ranging from jewelry, home decor, pottery, clothing, children's items, food, and much more. There will also be a drawing for a $20 gift certificate every 2 hours that can be used during the show. NEACA donates all proceeds from booth rentals to local charities and college scholarships. The craft show is December 6-7 from 9 AM- 6 PM and December 8 from Noon- 5 PM at the VBC South Hall. This event is free to attend. 

Yule Y’all Christmas Market
It’s time for Lowe Mill’s yearly Christmas market and spirit sampling event of the season! The market includes maker art, holiday creations, food, and music - all with a spirited chaser.  Enjoy a luxurious winter stroll throughout the grounds and freshly decked halls. Samplings of local spirits will be available on site while supplies last, and at 5 PM they light the fabled water tower to signify their bright and shiny stance for the season! This event is at Lowe Mill on December 7 from 11 AM- 7 PM. Parking is 10$ per car. 

Nerdy Noel
Nerdy Noel 2024 is at Stovehouse on December 15th from 11am-5pm. Come out and shop with over 50 local and regional artists & vendors all selling nerdy, gaming, anime, comic, sci-fi, fantasy, and pop culture-themed items. Free to attend, indoors, and all local! In addition to 50+ vendors, there will be face painting, cosplay, prize drawings, rescue bunnies to meet & greet, nerdy themed cocktails & more!

Clinton Row Shops
Clinton Avenue is home to many unique, small businesses. Downtown Storage is a popular shopping center that houses local artisan shops that are set up in storage units including shops like One Man’s Vintage, Yala Avenue, Mojana Soaps, and more. Other businesses located on Clinton Avenue includes Caley Paige, Elitaire, In Bloom, and Roosevelt & Company. 

Lincoln Mill Shops
Lincoln Mill offers an eclectic array of retail businesses. Shop for home decor and greenery at Brooks & Collier, fine leather goods at Holtz Leather Co., and reclaimed antiques from Preservation Co.

Lowe Mill
Lowe Mill is a huge historic factory building that has been redeveloped into 152 working studios for over 200 artists and makers, 7 galleries, a theater, community garden, and performance venues. Lowe Mill is packed with fun activities, food options on-site, and many artists with the perfect holiday gift waiting for you. 

University Pickers
University Pickers is an antique mall filled with more than 100 booths, over 115 creative vendors, and a new treat around every corner: ranging from steam punk to primitive, re-purposed to shabby chic.

Harrison Brothers
You won’t find actual hardware at this store! Harrison Brothers is one of the oldest shops in Huntsville. It used to be a hardware and furniture store, but it was preserved by the Huntsville Historic Foundation. Now, the store carries a variety of merchandise made by local artisans, and it also has a free historic museum inside!

Downtown Explorer Card
