Weekend Events- Fall and Halloween Edition!

From Halloween movies, to pickleball, to artisan markets— there’s something for everyone this weekend in Downtown Huntsville! Make sure to mark your calendars for any of these spooktacular events.

Movies in the Park
Come downtown for the last Movies in the Park of the season! Grab a bite to eat at one of the local food truck vendors, listen to free live music before the movie starts, and then watch a free showing of Ghostbusters: Afterlife (rated PG-13). Food vendors and activities start at 5PM with the movie beginning at sunset.

Halloween on Holmes
Enjoy a free Halloween block party this Friday! There will be live DJs, dancing, face painting, and food and drink specials from surrounding establishments. Costumes are encouraged.

Fright Nights at Wicks Family Field
As the darkness descends, this event offers tricks and treats, haunted spaces featuring classic horror movie icons like Frankenstein, Swamp Thing, and Dracula, and roaming spooky characters. Watch classic horror films on jumbo screens, snap boo-tiful photo ops, and enjoy Halloween-themed cocktails and snacks. Costumes are encouraged.

Haunted Mansion Dinner
Don’t miss this SPOOKTACULAR dinner at Dr. Burritt’s chilling mansion. The sit-down dinner includes Ghostly White and Bone-Dry Red Wine. Visit the Fortune Teller for a few haunting surprises. Strange noises, creepy crawly’ s, ghostly visits, all part of the experience!

Spooky Shop and Stroll on Gas Light Alley
Get a head start on your holiday shopping with a chilling Halloween twist this Friday! There will be plenty of good deals, one-of-a-kind Huntsville treasures, and rewards for filling your shopping bags with goodies from some local shops.

Downtown Pickleball Takeover
Calling all pickleball lovers! This Saturday, downtown will be transformed into a one of a kind pickleball experience for all ages. Temporary pickleball courts will be set up at two downtown locations for free play. The event will also feature beginners’ pickleball clinics, live DJs, food trucks, kids’ activities, and more! Courts are first come, first serve but reservations can be made ahead of time. Participants are encouraged to bring their own paddles and pickleballs.

Fall Festival at University Pickers
