By Abigail Harrison, DHI Communications Coordinator

Downtown Huntsville, Inc. members got an exclusive look at Huntsville’s newest apartment community at yesterday’s member briefing.

Stella at Five Points, the first luxury multifamily and retail development in Huntsville’s historic Five Points neighborhood, is set to open early this summer.

The development aims to create a unique and inspiring community that focuses on the art of living. With new studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments, residents will not only be able to enjoy the upscale amenities and high-end finishes but be close to the heart of Huntsville.

Stella at Five Points will also offer a bespoke Artist in Residence program featuring renowned sculptor “Fritz Strathern” created by Chris Taylor and acclaimed muralist Jessie Andrews who is known for her large scale murals in Huntsville.

“Both Chris and Jessie will not only call the Stella at Five Points community home, but will also serve as cultural ambassadors, bringing their unique perspectives and creative energy to property events and activations. From live art installations to murals to sculpture gardens to interactive workshops, their presence will enrich the cultural fabric of our community and inspire creativity in all who visit,” explains Zac Gibbs, Executive VP of Development at Halstead.

The multifamily aspect of the development will feature 352 units, consisting of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, with street-level retail and restaurant space.

Announced at the member briefing, the new restaurant concept will be a joint endeavor by the owners of La Esquina Cocina and Buenavista Mexican Cantina in Hampton Cove. The restaurant owners confirmed that the new restaurant will feature American cuisine.

The apartment community also features amenities such as a public creative makerspace, a rooftop terrace, a sculpture garden, a podcast studio, a 24/7 fitness studio, and resort style swimming pool.

The development will be across from the Goldsmith-Schiffman fields which are being repurposed for youth athletic fields and a park for the community as a whole.

Stella at Five Points is being developed by Halstead Development, which specializes in lifestyle-rich, mixed-use developments throughout the Southeast.
