By Abigail Harrison, DHI Communications Coordinator

Downtown Huntsville, Inc. (DHI) celebrated a bustling weekend with four major events, drawing over 22,000 people to the downtown area. The diverse lineup of activities attracted a wide range of attendees, showcasing the vibrancy and appeal of the city’s core.

805 After Five
Kicking off the weekend on Thursday, June 20, the 805 After Five concert by Lilly Hiatt attracted over 2,700 attendees, matching the impressive turnout of May’s concert. The young professional demographic was the top attending group, highlighting the event's appeal to Huntsville’s dynamic workforce. With an exciting lineup planned for July and August, DHI is eager to build on this momentum. 805 After Five is a partnership between DHI and the Huntsville Music Office, with support from generous sponsors.

Food Trucks
Despite the heat, more than 3,100 people flocked to this month’s Food Truck Rally on Friday, June 21. Attendees enjoyed a variety of culinary delights from over 17 diverse food trucks while enjoying free live music and activities.

NASA in the Park
In a remarkable collaboration with the Marshall Space Flight Center, DHI brought back NASA in the Park for the first time since 2018. The event, hosted on Saturday, June 22 in Big Spring Park from 10 AM to 2 PM, was attended by over 13,000 people and featured over 70 exhibits showcasing Huntsville’s significant contributions to the space industry.

Downtown Vintage Market
Saturday, June 22 also saw the return of the Downtown Vintage Market hosted by One Man’s Vintage, which attracted over 3,600 attendees between 11 AM and 4 PM. The event nearly doubled its attendance from last summer’s market and drew a significant young professional crowd (ages 25-40). The market's growing popularity extended beyond Huntsville, pulling in vendors and visitors from Nashville, Birmingham, and Chattanooga, hinting at its potential to become a major signature event downtown.
